Neon Art Poster, Part 2: Live in #WLIC2022, Dublin

After going through the whole ordeal with the designing process, finally it's time to present. Neon Art represent our commitment to provide inclusive access to library service and activities. There's no other way to let the viewers understand Neon Art project other than let them try it first hand. Their doodle or autograph then adds to the poster itself. A dynamic, human driven presentation that gets better the more people observe it.  By the end of the day, we are exhausted from all the talking. Kudos to my presenting partner, Saiful who took the liberty of studying Neon Art mechanic from top to bottom to better explain about the project and even add his own take to furnish to the write ups. Neon Art Poster, Part 1: Technical Difficulties

The idea is to bring the actual experience to Dublin where visitors can try out and interact with the poster. It was a delicate arrangement because no known printer can replicate the same ultraviolet reactive colors. I had to order and machine cut a specific color Oracal vinyl sticker and merge with traditionally printed poster. And since the poster will be illuminated with ultraviolet light, a matte coating is applied to minimise the glare so viewers can read the text without distractions. We need to block the hall's lighting so an awning is needed. I've tried numerous lightweight material combination and come out with 2 instalation strategies depending on the poster board's design. It's a guessing game back at home before finalising on what to bring. The whole setups has 3 separate combinations with 2 backups.  An uprecedented amount of effort for a once in a lifetime opportunity to present my project on foreign soil, I had to give my everything.  Dublin, aku datang. ...
