Neon Art Poster, Part 1: Technical Difficulties
The idea is to bring the actual experience to Dublin where visitors can try out and interact with the poster. It was a delicate arrangement because no known printer can replicate the same ultraviolet reactive colors. I had to order and machine cut a specific color Oracal vinyl sticker and merge with traditionally printed poster. And since the poster will be illuminated with ultraviolet light, a matte coating is applied to minimise the glare so viewers can read the text without distractions. We need to block the hall's lighting so an awning is needed. I've tried numerous lightweight material combination and come out with 2 instalation strategies depending on the poster board's design. It's a guessing game back at home before finalising on what to bring. The whole setups has 3 separate combinations with 2 backups.
An uprecedented amount of effort for a once in a lifetime opportunity to present my project on foreign soil, I had to give my everything.
Dublin, aku datang.
To be continued.
