Hari pertama, kami memandu dari Kuala Lipis, meredah kegelapan malam. Bekal makanan dibawa dari rumah, ada burger, nasi Arab, dan kuih chang viral. Berhenti merata-rata untuk berehat dan makan. Tepat jam 8.00 pagi, kami tiba di Rantau Panjang. Setelah selesai urusan parkir bersama Kak Nik, kami terus ke sempadan untuk pemeriksaan pasport. Perasaan bercampur-baur, antara keterujaan dan debaran, menghiasi setiap langkah. Sungguhpun begitu, tetap gelepor ambil gambar di Jambatan Sungai Golok, the point of no return. Kami juga menyuruh makwe yang lalu untuk mengambil gambar. Saya sempat merakam gambar bersama pasport dan menghantarnya ke grup WhatsApp dengan kapsyen, "Kerja keras beastie, healing kita pakai pasport."

Sudah lama saya tertarik (dibisik) untuk datang lihat dan bertemu sendiri dengan komuniti Melayu Islam di Selatan Thailand.  Ahad, 15hb September 2024 kami memulakan perjalanan, bukan sekadar untuk tiba di destinasi, tetapi untuk mendengar, melihat, berinteraksi dan meninggalkan sebahagian diri saya di sini sebagai tukaran, jika diizinkan, untuk secebis kearifan dan kenangan.  Bermusafir kerana Allah Taala.

Band yang wajib korang nengok untuk mengetahui erti sebenar Live Band. Tiket untuk konset diaorang sold-out full house 2 minggu sebelum konsert. After going through the whole ordeal with the designing process, finally it's time to present. Neon Art represent our commitment to provide inclusive access to library service and activities. There's no other way to let the viewers understand Neon Art project other than let them try it first hand. Their doodle or autograph then adds to the poster itself. A dynamic, human driven presentation that gets better the more people observe it.  By the end of the day, we are exhausted from all the talking. Kudos to my presenting partner, Saiful who took the liberty of studying Neon Art mechanic from top to bottom to better explain about the project and even add his own take to furnish to the write ups. The idea is to bring the actual experience to Dublin where visitors can try out and interact with the poster. It was a delicate arrangement because no known printer can replicate the same ultraviolet reactive colors. I had to order and machine cut a specific color Oracal vinyl sticker and merge with traditionally printed poster. And since the poster will be illuminated with ultraviolet light, a matte coating is applied to minimise the glare so viewers can read the text without distractions. We need to block the hall's lighting so an awning is needed. I've tried numerous lightweight material combination and come out with 2 instalation strategies depending on the poster board's design. It's a guessing game back at home before finalising on what to bring. The whole setups has 3 separate combinations with 2 backups.  An uprecedented amount of effort for a once in a lifetime opportunity to present my project on foreign soil, I had to give my everything.  Dublin, aku datang. ...

Sakit tak real. Sakit hanya isyarat yang dihantar ke otak, gua menyedapkan hati. Jantung gua entah hapa cerita. Gua boleh dengar kat telinga sendiri degupan jantung yang bekerja bagai nak gila. Hari ini bukan hari yang baik. Sarapan pagi tadi di Kem Kubang gua tak berapa selera nak makan. Cokelat Sneakers pun dah tak rasa apa-apa. Pelaburan terbaik gua setakat ini adalah pengunaan sarung tangan menebas gua beli kat kedai RM2. Dapat 2 pasang. Terhuyung-hayang dalam trail bukan sedar terpegang rotan berduri. Sebelum bertolak tadi guide dah warning, jangan terpegang ular kapak. Perjalanan di bawah kanopi rimba seolah-olah tak berkesudahan. Gua tercungap-cungap cuba menstabilkan pernafasan. Akhirnya kumpulan kami tiba di di satu kawasan yang lapang. Pokok-pokok sudah ditebang memberi laluan kepada matahari. Guide meletakkan beg  dan menyuruh kami berehat. Kami telah tiba di Kem Belumut. Gua ada dengar pasal tempat ni, diaorang tebas untuk helicopter emergency evacuation kerana ada...
